Privacy

How we handle personal information and how to contact us about privacy.

Updated 29 September 2026

Who this policy covers

This policy explains how LIMAN ADVISORY PTY LTD (ABN 65 700 164 478) handles personal information received through this website and enquiries, and the principles that apply to client information. Contact us at contact@limanadvisory.com or Suite 707, 72–82 Errol Street, North Melbourne, Victoria 3051, Australia.

Information we receive

If you contact us, we receive the contact details, correspondence and other information you choose to provide. Please give only a brief outline in an initial enquiry and avoid sending tax file numbers, identity documents or confidential tax records by ordinary email.

If we agree to act for you, the work may require identity, financial, business and tax information. The information needed and arrangements for exchanging records will depend on the engagement. Where relevant and authorised, information may also come from your representatives, other advisers, public registers or government agencies.

Why information is used

We use information to respond to enquiries, assess and manage engagements, provide agreed services, maintain records and meet legal and professional obligations. If necessary information is not provided, we may be unable to respond fully or carry out the work.

Website hosting and analytics

Cloudflare hosts and protects this website and provides Web Analytics. Requests to the website involve technical information such as an IP address and browser details. Web Analytics measures visits and website performance without analytics cookies or browser local storage. Cloudflare’s security services may separately process request data or use security cookies.

Read Cloudflare’s privacy policy and its Web Analytics data collection explanation. This website has no client login, document upload or payment facility.

Service providers and disclosure

We use Google Workspace for email and Cloudflare for this website. These providers may process information outside Australia through their global infrastructure. See Google’s privacy policy and Cloudflare’s policy for their handling of information.

Client information may be disclosed to authorised representatives or advisers to carry out agreed work, to service providers supporting that work, or where disclosure is required or permitted by law. Professional confidentiality obligations also apply. Engagement-specific arrangements, including any additional providers and relevant overseas handling, should be addressed before confidential records are supplied.

Protection and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold and limit access to what is needed for the relevant purpose. Information is retained for the engagement and applicable legal or professional record-keeping requirements, then securely disposed of or de-identified when no longer required. No website or email transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

Tax file number information is handled only for authorised purposes, subject to applicable taxation law and the Privacy (Tax File Number) Rule 2015. Do not include it in a general website enquiry.

Access, correction and concerns

Email us to ask about the personal information we hold about you, request access or correction, or raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify your identity before releasing or changing information. If a legal restriction prevents access or correction, we will explain the reason where permitted.

Please describe your concern and the outcome you seek so we can investigate and respond. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, which explains the privacy complaints it can consider and the steps to take.

Updates

This policy may be updated as our services or information-handling arrangements change. The date above identifies the current version.
